The General Staff explained why they shot in Kherson

Yesterday, on September 17, in the evening in the temporarily occupied Kherson, explosions and shooting were reported.
As explained by the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk on the air of the telethon, the Russians in the occupied territories are trying to create various sabotage in order to discredit the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This is what happened in Kherson, where there was a shooting last night, - Gumenyuk explained.
She said that intelligence had information that from September 17 to September 20 in the Kherson region, the occupiers intend to carry out a number of sabotage measures in order to blame the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their consequences.
The Russian military is trying to create the impression that they are not being released, but captured. That is why provocations with shooting in the middle of Kherson, provocations with explosions and other things that their media talk about - you need to pay attention to this, - Gumenyuk noted.
According to her, if some extraordinary events take place in the occupied territories, for example, explosions or shooting, and it has not yet ended, and the correspondent of the occupation TV is already "in a whirlpool of events", then this is most likely a provocation.
It should be noted that on Saturday, September 17, the Russian media announced that a "counter-terrorist operation" had begun near the local railway station. Also in the occupied Kherson on Saturday, September 17, explosions thundered. At the same time, the Russian media stated that the Ukrainians fired on the city.
