EU ready to cooperate with China on war in Ukraine
The head of EU diplomacy warns other European countries of China's growing influence.
This was stated by EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell, the Financial Times has reported.
Borrell said that the EU was ready to cooperate with China to settle the war in Ukraine. At the same time, Brussels warns that Beijing may take advantage of Russia's defeat.
The issue of China is much more complex than that of Russia. It is clear that China's ambition is to build a new world order with China at its centre... Russia's defeat in Ukraine will not derail China's course. China will be able to exploit this geopolitical advantage.
At the same time, Borrell asked EU foreign ministers to find a "coherent strategy" against China against the backdrop of Beijing's "growing nationalism and its struggle with Washington".
