An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 struck Afghanistan and Pakistan on the evening of 21 March. The tremors were felt even in the Indian capital.

This was reported by CNN.

It is noted that at least 13 people have now been confirmed dead.

The earthquake also damaged buildings and triggered landslides.

At least four people in Afghanistan have been killed and another 70 injured in affected areas across the country, according to Health Ministry spokesman Sharafat Zaman Amar.

There could be more casualties as there is no communication with some of the affected areas.

In Pakistan, at least nine people were killed, including two children, when houses and other buildings collapsed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said. At least 44 others were injured in the province.
