US president ordered a 10 per cent global duty on all countries

The US President has expressed dissatisfaction with the decision of the Supreme Court justices who upheld the cancellation of duties on imported goods.
US President Donald Trump has announced the signing of an executive order imposing 10 per cent global duties on imports from all countries of the world. The document was signed in the Oval Office and, according to the head of the White House, comes into force almost immediately. This was announced by Trump in Truth Social. The information was later confirmed by CNN, the White House
I am honoured to sign an executive order in the Oval Office imposing 10 percent global duties on all countries, which will take effect almost immediately," Trump said.
The White House specified that the official effective date of the decision is 24 February.
The tariffs are imposed under a trade law known as Section 122. However, as CNN notes, such measures can only last up to 150 days unless the US Congress extends them.
Note that on 20 February, the US Supreme Court declared illegal the large-scale tariffs announced by Trump in April 2025. Then it was about duties from 10% to 50% for almost all countries of the world in order to reduce the US trade deficit. The US Supreme Court ruled that Trump had exceeded his authority by imposing tariffs against other countries under the National Emergencies Act. The justices ruled that the US president's use of the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose duties on imported goods was illegal. At the same time, the decision does not apply to other duties imposed under other laws, such as tariffs on aluminium and steel.
