Ursula von der Leyen urged the EU to prepare for war with Russia

The West is increasingly talking about a direct confrontation with the Russian Federation.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has urged the EU to prepare for a possible war with Russia and already increase the production of weapons for the needs of the EU. DW writes about it.
At the same time, she noted that the behaviour of the head of the Kremlin "screams" that he does not intend to end the war. Moreover, he provokes the countries of the West - exacerbates the migration crisis, raises the issue of borders, as with Estonia.
Someone who speaks and acts like Putin does not want peace, but intends to continue the war," she explained.
Ursula von der Laen pointed out that it is important for Europe not only to support Ukraine in its confrontation with Russian invaders, but also to strengthen its own defence capabilities at the same time.
If we have to keep peace on our continent, we need to invest in defence," she said.
She also noted that strengthening the defence power of Europe will contribute to economic growth on the territory of European countries.
The money that will be invested in military production will help to create new jobs in the EU, - she said.
Earlier, the head of the EC said that Europe would help Finland to strengthen its border with Russia.
