According to official information, Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kiev to celebrate Europe Day here.
This is a very appropriate place to celebrate the Europe Day. I welcome President Volodymyr Zelenski's decision to make May 9 Europe Day here in Ukraine as well.
It should be reminded that yesterday, on the 8th of May, President Volodymyr Zelenski signed a decree which states that from now on, every year on the 9th of May Europe Day will be celebrated in Ukraine.
Previously, Europe Day in Ukraine fell on the third Saturday in May.
