Umerov said Ukraine has a plan for 2024

Ukraine has a powerful plan for 2024 that will bring results. This was stated by Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov during the forum "Ukraine. Year 2024".

Everyone says that our results speak better than our actions. We are doing everything possible and impossible to make a breakthrough. There is already a plan for 2024. We do not talk about it publicly. It is powerful, it is strong, it gives not only hope, but it will give results in 2024," he said.

According to Umerov, the defence ministry is actively working with all components of the defence forces to achieve the goal.

He also noted that the ministry is coordinating the construction of fortifications and has so far already managed to equip several thousand strongholds and firing positions.

He emphasised that Russia's war against Ukraine is the biggest war since the Second World War.

It is a war where many things are happening for the first time - it is the first war with so many missiles launched against peaceful cities. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has fired more than 8,000 missiles at Ukraine," he said.

Umerov pointed out that the Defence Ministry is reinforcing the troops and conducting constant inspections of food supplies to military units.

Only in recent months we have discovered violations worth tens of millions of hryvnias," the minister stressed.

According to him, together with representatives of law enforcement agencies, corruption schemes in the Defence Forces are being identified and the system is being cleaned together.

Corruption during the war is worse than terrorism. There will be no negotiations with those who steal from our soldiers, the society will not have, - Umerov emphasised.
