In addition, the invaders destroyed fully or partially 43 buildings of railway stations, as well as other infrastructure facilities.
The UZ said that during the repair and track works for eight months of 2024, specialists managed to repair 737.6 kilometres of tracks, which is 62% of the planned volume for the year. Restoration of destroyed railway stations is also underway.
In the future, Ukrainian railway workers plan to repair more than 1,195 km of tracks and 1,073 sets of switches by the end of this year.
