Ukrazaliznytsia tariffs for cargo transportation will increase by 70%

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukrzaliznytsia's freight traffic has dropped significantly
This was reported by the Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov on his Facebook page.
The Ministry of Infrastructure supported the proposal of the railway workers to index tariffs, increasing them by 70% for all groups of goods.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of Russia, Ukrzaliznytsia has taken one of the heaviest blows of the aggressor. Freight traffic, which is a key source of the company's profit, decreased by 65.3%, almost 6,300 km of tracks were destroyed by the enemy," writes Kubrakov
In addition, the Minister of Infrastructure writes that subsidies from the state are no longer enough. Since the beginning of the war, 10 billion hryvnias have been sent to the company's accounts.
In addition to the loss of a significant part of freight and passenger traffic, the costs of restoring the railway infrastructure, which is constantly being destroyed by the enemy, are increasing, as well as energy and fuel and lubricants.
The increase in tariffs by 70% will affect all 20 types of cargo.
