Ukrainian pilots began training on F-16 in Arizona

The US has begun training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16s in the 162nd Wing of the Arizona National Guard.
This was reported by Air & Space Forces Magazine on 25 October, citing the US Air Force.
According to the service representative, earlier this week a "small number" of Ukrainian pilots began training on F-16 at the 162nd Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard.
The training programme will be tailored to each pilot's basic knowledge and skills and is expected to last several months, the US Air Force spokesman said.
the 162nd Wing trains pilots at Morris Air National Guard Base, which is located at Tucson International Airport. It is the only U.S. Air Force unit tasked with training foreign pilots in the F-16.
A typical F-16 training course reportedly takes about six months. However, US officials noted that Ukrainian pilots are unlikely to follow the standard model, as the course would be tailored to Ukraine's needs to defend its skies against Russian aircraft, drones and missiles.
