Ukraine lacks the capacity to store grain.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Affairs, Tax and Customs Policy recommends exempting imports of grain storage equipment from taxation.
This was reported in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
The statement of the committee of the Verkhovna Rada indicates that in Ukraine there may be a shortage of capacities for storing from 10 to 15 million tons of grain until the end of the year. The Committee reports that before the war, the farmers had at their disposal approximately 75 million tons of grain storage capacity. About 10 million tons of grain storage facilities are located in the temporarily occupied territory. In this regard, a deficit is possible, which the committee estimates at 10-15 million tons of capacity.
The bill, which was submitted by the committee to the Rada, will reduce the shortage of equipment for storage, transportation, loading and unloading of grain.
According to experts, Ukraine this year can receive 69.4 million tons of grain. For export, of which 31.5 million tons are planned.
