Ukraine and the US to discuss security guarantees

Security assurances will be concrete and lasting commitments.
Ukraine and the USA will hold negotiations on the security guarantees agreement. The head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, said this in his Telegram channel.
Ukraine will start negotiations with the USA on a bilateral agreement on security guarantees as early as next week. These guarantees will be valid until Ukraine gains NATO membership, which is the most reliable security guarantee," Yermak wrote.
He explained that the agreement would be concluded within the framework of the declaration agreed by the G7 countries at the NATO summit in Vilnius.
More than a dozen other countries have already joined this declaration, and new states are joining almost every week. Ukraine will conclude a system of bilateral treaties containing specific security guarantees with the participants of the declaration," Yermak said.
He added that Kiev is currently working on bilateral agreements with each of these partners
The security guarantees will be concrete and long-term commitments that will help Ukraine on its way to victory now and allow it to deter Russian aggression in the future.
We are talking about defence and financial support, as well as sanctions and punishment of the Russian Federation," Yermak pointed out.
