American police officers learnt about the work of their Ukrainian colleagues from volunteers who are now in the United States.

The head of one of the police departments of North Carolina Sean Anderson initiated an acquaintance with the head of Berdychivskyi district police Department. The colleagues met and chatted online.

We were thanked for our steadfastness in the fight for our independence. We agreed to co-operate and decided that we will become twin departments. We have already received 15 bulletproof vests and their chevrons from our colleagues. Now, as it is proper for us, Ukrainians, we are preparing gifts and chevrons of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Zhytomyr region, - said the head of the district department Serhiy Rudnytskyi.

He expressed gratitude to the volunteers and American colleagues for their support and help in difficult times for our country.
