Terracotta blush and apricot lips: how to replicate the Toasty trend

Toasty's new makeup trend is warm, radiant and as natural as the autumn sun.

In the wave of 2025 trends, there is a new favourite - Toasty makeup. It's not just a make-up application technique, but a real mood: the warmth of autumn, the cosiness of cappuccino, the soft glow of skin and smooth shades, as if you've just returned from a short holiday in the sun.

Many stars have already picked up on the trend: Hailey Bieber and Laurie Harvey appear in public in beige suits with glowing make-up in a warm palette. And in social networks the hashtag #ToastyMakeup is rapidly gaining popularity: millions of views have been received by videos where make-up artists experiment with copper shadows and cinnamon-coloured lips.

As reported by Harper's Bazaar India, toasty makeup starts with a radiant, well-moisturised base. Instead of a dense foundation, it's a light, translucent finish that emphasises skin texture rather than camouflaging it. Top with a cream bronzer applied to the temples, cheekbones and jawline to softly sculpt the face without harsh contours.

On the eyelids, a warm copper shade with a slight haze along the lash line. A little shimmer in the inner corners of the eyes, a generous layer of mascara and - if desired - a little eyeliner. The cheekbones are adorned with terracotta blush, which has become the centrepiece of the look thanks to the phenomenon of "blush blindness", when the eye stops recognising a slight blush against the background of make-up trends without make-up.

A champagne-coloured highlighter adds a delicate glow. And the final touch is an apricot or caramel coloured lip gloss. The whole look seems to dissolve on the skin: no sharp lines, just soft shimmers of warmth and light.

Toasty is not a colour, but a feeling. It's cosiness reflected in a bronze-gold palette: caramel, amber, sienna and shades of burnt sugar. This make-up does not aspire to glamour or Instagram effect, it is about refinement, grooming and natural beauty.

Unlike the makeup of yesteryear with matte skin and heavy contouring, toasty looks fresh and modern. It emphasises not on makeup per se, but on making the skin look vibrant, radiant and warm.

As the publication notes, the trend fits into the cultural demand of 2025: we crave comfort, discreet radiance and natural luxury. Pantone's colour of the year - "mocha mousse" - perfectly complements this image, reinforcing the craving for beige and gold.
