Border guards of the Pomsta Offensive Guard Brigade took three Russian occupiers prisoner.

Three Russian occupants have been captured by border guards of the Pomsta offensive guard brigade, which was set up on the basis of the Luhansk border guard detachment. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on 1 February.

Among the captives - a mobilised man from Ryazan, a contract worker - a squad commander from Pskov and a Zarobitchanian from Grozny - the Chechen came to the war in Ukraine to earn money, having signed a contract for 1 year a few months ago.

The two occupiers were captured when they tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian border guards in Luhansk region and failed. After the border guards opened fire on the enemy, part of the enemy squad retreated, but not all of them were able to escape.

There were about 7-8 of them. One surrendered, said that there was a friend who also wanted to surrender, and he too came out after some time. We gave them minimal medical care, gave them water, took them out and passed them on. And the four are still "hanging around" somewhere out there. They don't need them, so they can't go back, and they won't go forward to the assault either. There is no food, and sooner or later they will either freeze to death or surrender themselves," says a fighter under the pseudonym "Udav".

The Chechen tried to hide, but in his search for a safe hiding place he fell into the hands of fighters of the Pomsta brigade.

The captured occupants were handed over to special services officers to form an exchange fund and return Ukrainian servicemen from captivity.
