The Times has revealed whose shells Russia is hitting Ukraine with

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is supplying Russia for its war against Ukraine with missiles and ammunition in exchange for economic and other military aid from Moscow.
Russia uses about three million artillery shells against Ukraine per year. At the same time, half of the weapons come to Russia from North Korea. This was reported by The Times with reference to Western intelligence data.
Russia became dependent on supplies from North Korea after Russian dictator Vladimir Putin travelled to Pyongyang earlier this year," the publication points out.
As noted in the West - the weapons sent by Pyongyang are of poor quality and often explode before reaching their target. However, there is a lot of it, which gave a certain advantage for the Russian army on the battlefield.
At the same time, they point out that the DPRK's "help" prevents the Russians from conducting an offensive on Ukrainian territory and at the same time retaking the Kursk region, which is now occupied by the Ukrainians. The intelligence agency notes that the enemy has thrown its main forces into the Pokrovskoye direction and is trying to advance there.
As the intelligence notes, this shows that Putin does not care about his own territories, as well as human resources, which the head of the Kremlin throws by the thousands to the front line.
We see no sign that Putin is backing away from his primary goal of conquering Ukraine's sovereignty. I do not see any prospect for negotiations in the near future," the source added.
We shall remind you that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Kiryl Budanov, said that North Korean military assistance to Russia was the most worrying compared to the support provided by Moscow's other allies.
