The number of dead in Krivoy Rog has risen to 18, among them 9 children
On the evening of 4 April, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike in the centre of a residential district of Kryvyy Rih. The missile hit the area of a children's playground.
By the evening of 4 April, Russian forces struck a cluster-loaded Iskander missile at a residential area in Kryvyi Rih. Eighteen people were killed, including nine children. Also more than 60 locals were wounded. Of them 12 children. 40 people had to be hospitalised. This was reported by the head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional military administration Sergey Lysak.
As a result of the attack damaged 29 apartment blocks. Rescue work continues.
Currently, about fifty utility workers are liquidating the consequences of the attack. They are removing broken glass, collecting broken branches and rubbish.
According to the chairman of the city's Defence Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, the Russians used a missile that exploded in the air to hurt more people.
Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry said that on 4 April at 18:49, Russian troops "launched a precision missile strike on the venue of a meeting with the commanders of formations and Western instructors in one of the restaurants in the city of Kryvyy Rih".
The Russian leadership denies that the Russian army, during a full-scale war, is carrying out targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
