An elite unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out an operation to explode an occupiers' ammunition depot in the north of Crimea.

A senior Ukrainian official anonymously said that the explosions at an abandoned farm near the village of Maiskoye in northern Crimea were the result of the work of an elite Ukrainian military unit. The New York Times writes about it.

On the morning of August 16, as a result of sabotage, a military warehouse near the village of Dzhankoy was damaged. Damage was caused to a number of civilian facilities, including power lines, a power plant, a railway track, as well as a number of residential buildings. There are no serious casualties. The necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of sabotage, - propaganda media write with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

There are currently no official statements about the involvement of Ukraine from the Ukrainian side.

Mikhail Podolyak, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, commented on the explosions on Twitter.

We remind you: the Crimea of a normal country is the Black Sea, mountains, recreation and tourism, and the Crimea occupied by the Russians is the explosions of warehouses and a high risk of death for invaders and thieves, Podolyak writes.

Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak said on his Telegram channel that a jewelry operation in the style of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out in occupied Crimea.

Operation "Demilitarization" in the jewelry style of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue until the complete de-occupation of Ukrainian territories. Our warriors are the best sponsors of a good mood,” Yermak publishes.

Recall that today explosions occurred in the north of the occupied Crimea.
