The film "Culture Quest: Ukraine" won an Emmy Award

A film about Ukraine, Culture Quest: Ukraine, has won the prestigious Emmy film award in the USA. This was announced by the creators of the Culture Quest project.

There is no doubt that this victory is accompanied by bittersweet emotions if we compare it to the cold reality of the war that continues in Ukraine. Words cannot express how much I wish my Ukrainian friends were on the Emmy stage to receive this award in person..... but that's just not the reality Ukrainians live in now," the film's creators said.

Director Jan Grantot noted that each of the film's participants not only took time out of their already hectic lives to make the film with us, but also answered all editing questions for weeks after the shoot.

In particular, Olesya Ostrovska-Luta and her team from the Mystetskyi Arsenal Museum, as well as Nata from the band ONUKA, not only played their roles, but were also responsible for the major production elements and details of the entire film, and because of that, their names are also on this Emmy," he said.

Ukrainian singer Nata Zhizhchenko became a creative producer and appeared in the film.

This is really an outstanding event and an opportunity to open our cultural heritage to the world and remind about Ukraine once again, - said the artiste.

Earlier, Socialportal reported that the Ukrainian documentary 20 Days in Mariupol won the BAFTA film award in the Best Documentary category.
