The AFU said whether the Russians have a possibility to penetrate the right bank of the Kherson region


The enemy is constantly shelling the right bank of the Dnieper.
Defence facilities in the Kherson region are equipped at a sufficiently high level, which makes it extremely difficult for the enemy to penetrate the right bank. The head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Defence Forces of Southern Ukraine, Colonel Nataliya Humenyuk, stated this on the air of a telethon.
She pointed out that apart from man-made fortifications, the natural landscape of the coast contributes to its defence.
In our area of responsibility, I will tell you honestly, the second line of defence is built by the natural landscape so that it was arranged anyway. Just its arrangement and its presence all the time confused, including the residents of Kherson, because in our case, the second line of defence is the right bank of the Dnieper. Our forces on the left bank have a bridgehead, there are constant clashes with the occupation troops, that is, the first line of defence is there," the head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Defence Forces of Southern Ukraine explained.
She added that the second line of defence, located on the right bank of the Dnieper, is arranged virtuously, deeply and thoroughly.
It is virtually unreal for the enemy to land on the right bank of the Dnieper, because the Dnieper River itself is a line of fire, a line of powerful counter-battery work, where there is a constant hit on surface vehicles So, the arrangement of defence facilities in the Kherson region is at a fairly high level and on the contrary, it scares people that this defence continues to increase.
It should be noted that on Saturday, 17 February, Russian occupants shelled residential areas of the city of Kherson, as a result of which a man was killed. Two more Kherson residents with injuries of varying severity are now in hospital.
