Russia is concentrating forces in several directions and preparing for new offensive operations, noting the complexity of the current situation on the front.

This was stated by the AFU commander-in-chief, General Oleksandr Syrskyy, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

The situation is really complicated and is characterised by the continuation of Russia's strategic offensive," he said.

According to Syrskyy, the enemy is now regrouping, concentrating its efforts on two key directions: Pokrovskyy and Zaporizhzhya. The Pokrovsk direction remains a priority for Russia, while troops from Sumy region are being transferred to the Zaporizhzhya direction, where active offensive operations are planned to begin.

In the Zaporizhzhya direction, according to him, the intensity of hostilities is still low, but the occupants seek to strike a powerful blow, which was conceived a year ago. The general recalled that earlier Russian forces were transferred from Zaporizhzhya region to Kursk region, including the 76th Airborne Assault Division. The enemy's goal is to break through the defences and advance deep into the territory, covering the entire region.

At the same time, Syrsky emphasised that Russia is not limited to only two directions. It is likely that in the near future attention will also be paid to Novopavlovskoye, as well as Limanskoye direction, where hostilities are conducted on a smaller scale, but the enemy is also trying to achieve success.

Earlier Socialportal reported that Russian troops made a significant advance in the area of Dobropillya, gaining a foothold in several settlements, but were stopped by the AFU.

According to analysts, the enemy, relying on numerical superiority in infantry, has occupied Kucherov Yar and Zolotoy Kolodets, where it is accumulating resources for a further offensive. From Kucherovy Yar, Russian forces have advanced to the village of Vesyoloye, where about two dozen enemy servicemen have been recorded over the past 24 hours.
