Syrsky talks about the situation in Bakhmut

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyy, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has made this statement.

According to Syrskyy, the situation in Bakhmut is currently under control, although the enemy is turning the city into ruins.

The Bakhmut direction remains the epicentre of hostilities. There the enemy concentrates its greatest efforts and does not leave the goal of taking the city under control at any cost. Now the enemy is increasing the activity of heavy artillery and the number of air strikes, turning the city into ruins. At the same time, our fighters are inflicting significant losses on the enemy and significantly hampering their offensive actions.

Fighting for Bakhmut continues. The situation is now under control.

The enemy is also attempting to conduct offensives in several directions simultaneously. For example, in the Kupyan direction. But there the Ukrainian artillery fought back. The enemy fled even before reaching the attacking line.

In the Limansk direction the enemy was also unsuccessful.
