Starmer named the condition for the introduction of British troops into Ukraine

Keir Starmer outlined the conditions under which London would be willing to consider the participation of its military in a peacekeeping mission.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said that the participation of British troops in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine is possible only if the United States provides air cover. He said this in an interview with Bloomberg.
I have always stressed that air defence from the United States is a necessary element," Starmer said, commenting on the possibility of sending the British contingent without the participation of the Americans.
The prime minister said he sees possible British participation in such operations solely as part of a joint allied effort.
I have no reason to believe that the US and Britain will not be able to act together, as they have done many times in the past," he added.
We shall remind you that in April, Kiev hosted a meeting of countries that joined the so-called "coalition of the resolute" - an association of states that expressed readiness to provide Ukraine with assistance in countering Russian aggression.
Keir Starmer announced the creation of the coalition on 2 March 2025. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, it is France and the UK that will be the first countries to send their forces to support Ukraine as part of the post-war efforts. Zelenskyy emphasised that these countries are key allies on the European continent.
