about author Some 14,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly deported from the occupied territories to Russia.
So far, it is known that 400 children from Ukraine have been adopted by Russian families, human rights activist and lawyer Katerina Rashevska said in an interview with hromadske.
Rashevska added that it was impossible to identify these children because the Russian Federation had changed their personal data.
In most cases the parents changed not only the child's name but also other personal information.
The human rights defender said that, according to open sources, the Russian Federation had deported Ukrainian children to at least 57 of its regions, in particular Sakhalin and Dagestan.
