Oleshki is on the left bank and is controlled by the Russians.

Oleshki in the Kherson region, which was flooded after the hydroelectric plant was blown up and is under the control of the Russian military, is completely closed to travel. The local population is not allowed to leave the disaster zone. Only those with Russian passports are allowed to leave. Aleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson OVA, told this in a TV marathon.

According to him, the occupants said that a quarantine was imposed in the city and roadblocks were set up around the settlement.

The situation in the Oleshkivka community, as well as on the left bank as a whole, is very critical. The occupants announced some kind of evacuation, but this did not go beyond words. There was no evacuation," he said.

He noted that there is no communication, electricity and gas supply in Oleshki. People are starving and lack drinking water. Those who manage to get out of Oleshki are allegedly taken to Voronezh in Russia.

The head of the OVA noted that eight people have been confirmed dead in the flooded Oleshki.

This is verified information by Oleshki doctors," he said.

Prokudin pointed out that Ukrainian forces managed to evacuate about 100 people from the occupied left bank of Kherson Region, but due to Russian shelling, it is difficult to save more people.

We would like to point out that 35 people have been reported missing due to the bombing of the Kakhovska hydroelectric power plant by the Russian occupants. Among them are children.
