It became known what will happen to the employees of Akhmetov's media group

Rinat Akhmetov announced the "forced exit" of his investment company SCM from the media business to comply with the anti-oligarchic law adopted last year.
After Rinat Akhmetov leaves the media market, workers will be fired in several stages, the first wave will begin on July 18. This was reported in the press service of the SCM.
The message says that all laid-off employees will be compensated. In particular, they will be given money in their hands - in the amount of 3 to 12 monthly salaries, depending on the number of years of work in the group.
To calculate salaries, the average monthly salaries of employees for 2021, that is, before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, will be taken as a basis. All outgoing payments are guaranteed by SCM, the press service explained.
They also noted that the process of completing the cooperation of the media group with employees will take place in several stages.
The first one, which starts on Monday, will concern those who, as of July 11, were not involved in production processes. The following will be notified separately, the company explained.
Earlier, billionaire Rinat Akhmetov announced the forced exit of his investment company SCM from the media business to comply with the anti-oligarchic law adopted last year. This is stated in Akhmetov's statement on the SCM website.
He stated that he would waive in favor of the state all broadcast and satellite television licenses of channels and print media licenses in Ukraine and stop the activities of MSU online media.
Such a decision, he stressed, was dictated by the entry into force of the so-called anti-oligarchic law.
Akhmetov's media holding includes: the national broadcast TV channel "Ukraine"; UFO TV; "Indigo TV"; "Football 1/2/3", presented also in the HD version; "Ukraine 24"; "34 channel"; satellite speech operator Xtra TV; OLL.TV; international channels Ukraine 1, Ukriane 2, NLO TV 2; production companies "Tele O", "Let's Help TV"; full cycle media agency "Media Partnership Baying"; site segodnya.ua; cross-platform project Vogue UA.
