Scholz wants to ease tensions between Europe and China.

This was reported by Bloomberg citing its sources.

According to journalists, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wants to meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at talks in Berlin on 20 June.

Scholz plans to enlist Beijing's support for peace and climate change. Scholz also wants to set red lines for any changes to the status quo in Taiwan.

According to sources, such actions by the German chancellor are due to his opposition to cutting ties with China. After all, China is an important trading partner for Germany and a destination for German exports.

It is worth recalling that just recently there was a scandal with the Chinese ambassador to France. He claimed that the countries of the former Soviet Union still do not have a clear legal status.
