Chef and founder of World Central Kitchen José Andrés has become an ambassador for UNITED24

Jose has been supporting Ukraine with concrete actions since the beginning of the full-scale war. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology of Ukraine - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.

His charitable organisation World Central Kitchen first worked on the border with Ukraine, feeding thousands of Ukrainians who fled Russian missiles. Then it opened offices in Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv to continue supporting Ukrainians," Fedorov said.

In seven months of work in Ukraine, World Central Kitchen has raised $300,000,000 for Ukraine and works with more than 450 food establishments.

Andres has travelled to Ukraine several times and helped feed people in Irpen, Mykolaiv and other Russian-affected cities.

In November 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Jose with the Order of Merit, Second Class, and a plaque with his name was unveiled on Kyiv's Walk of Courage.
