Sharon Stone supported Ukraine by showing a painting by a Ukrainian artist at home

The video appeared on Instagram of the public organisation Ukraine WOW, which promotes Ukrainian culture in the world. In the video, the actress stands at her home next to Arthur's work titled "Big Little Dream", created in 2023.

Ukraine is art. Ukraine is painting. Ukraine is creativity," Sharon Stone says in the video. - And I know this for a fact, because this beautiful painting belongs to Ukrainian artist Artur Soletsky. It's incredible, and I'm very grateful to you, Artur.

Co-founders of Ukraine WOW, Yaroslava Gres and Yulia Solovey, admit that they did not expect such a warm response from the actress: "We approached Sharon Stone as part of a big campaign to support Ukrainian culture. Previously, Barbra Streisand, Vera Farmiga, Robert De Niro, Liev Schreiber and other famous personalities have already recorded videos for Ukraine WOW. But we were amazed when Sharon Stone not only responded to us, but recorded this sincere appeal herself, standing next to Arthur's painting in her home".

The artist himself learnt that his work was adorning the Hollywood star's home quite by accident. Arthur wrote in Instagram an American who wanted to buy a painting for his girlfriend. Only later it became known that this friend is Sharon Stone herself.

When I found out that my work was in Sharon's home, it really inspired me. At such moments you feel the real power of art and realise how much it can influence people all over the world," said Artur Soletsky.

The Ukraine WOW organisation actively promotes Ukrainian culture both inside and outside the country and has already implemented many striking projects. Among them are the demonstration of the original sabre of Hetman Ivan Mazepa after the victory of Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usik over Tyson Fury, a large-scale performance of "Shchedrik" on the occasion of the centenary of the Ukrainian Republican Chapel's world tour, as well as a unique installation "Heart of Ukraine", which became a memorial to the war dead.

Artur Soletsky is a contemporary Ukrainian artist from Lviv who teaches at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. He works in different techniques and genres - from painting to land-art, and actively participates in exhibitions both in Ukraine and abroad.
