- Scientists have found out how you should eat to live to be a hundred years old

Researchers from the University of Sydney analysed data from 34 studies conducted between January 2000 and December 2022 to identify key factors affecting longevity.
Their goal was to identify the reasons that allow a person to live more than 95 years.
These findings were published in the scientific journal GeroScience.
The main findings of the study:
Place of residence:
More than 78 per cent of long-livers live in rural areas. This suggests that living more peaceful and close to nature may have a positive impact on longevity.Healthy lifestyle:
Long-term residents follow a generally healthy lifestyle:- Only 7% of them smoke.
- No more than 30 per cent consume alcohol.
- Their diet is based on local cereals, fruit, vegetables, chicken, fish and pulses. Salted food is consumed by only 25% of long-livers, the rest avoid salt.
Moderate use of medication:
People living longer take fewer medications compared to other seniors, which may indicate better health.Quality sleep:
Good sleep also plays an important role. 68% of long-livers are satisfied with the quality of their sleep. Although the duration of sleep is not specified in the study, the fact that it is important is clear.
