The SBU has identified 15 collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk Region involved in organising pseudo-elections to the local occupation bodies of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to one scenario, the occupiers are going to hold pseudo-elections in September this year. During the illegal voting, it is planned to elect "deputies" of the pseudo-parliament of the "LNR", as well as "councils" of the so-called "municipalities".

The investigation has identified 15 hostile henchmen involved in the preparations for the future pseudo-elections.

Among the hostile henchmen are the heads of the "election commission of the LPR", as well as representatives of the territorial centres of the Kremlin's United Russia party and other Duma political forces," the SBU said.

The collaborators have set up so-called "territorial election commissions" that will falsify "voter turnout" and the results of "voting". In addition, they set up "polling stations", campaigned in favour of pseudo-elections, selected and instructed "staff".

Based on the exposed facts, SBU investigators launched criminal proceedings under Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration activities).

Earlier, six defendants have already received suspicion from the SBU for organising and holding a pseudo-referendum in Luhansk region in September 2022," the SBU added,

Complex measures to bring the attackers to justice are ongoing. They face up to 15 years in prison.
