SBU prevented a terrorist attack in Zaporozhye

SBU officers prevented a terrorist attack in Zaporozhye and detained its perpetrator.
According to the press service of the department, the attacker turned out to be a resident of Dnipro, born in 1966.
He wanted to "sow chaos and panic in Zaporozhye." To do this, the man planned an explosion in a crowded place in the city center and made an explosive device himself. To enhance the effect, the detainee stuffed it with nails and bolts, and also disguised it as a crutch.
It is noted that the man tried to "confuse the tracks" and two days before the planned date of the attack arrived in Zaporozhye from the western region. He was detained in the "underground" house, and the explosives were defused.
Currently, investigative and operational actions are ongoing, the detainee is giving evidence. The version of the involvement of the special services of the Russian Federation in the preparation of the crime is being worked out.
