This night, units of the Security Service of Ukraine's Central Security Service "A" struck the Saki military airfield in occupied Crimea, one of Russia's key airbases for operations in the Black Sea.

According to the SBU's press service in Telegram, the special operation hit a warehouse of aviation weapons. In addition, one Su-30SM aircraft was completely destroyed and another one was damaged. Three Su-24 aircraft were also damaged.

The enemy suffered significant losses. Only one Su-30SM costs an average of 35 to 50 million dollars," the security service said.

The SBU stressed that this successful operation is another step to weaken Russia's military potential and to protect Ukrainian territory.

The occupiers should remember that they will never feel safe on our land," the agency said.

Earlier, on 31 July, the SBU's long-range drones struck Radiozavod, which is part of the Russian Rostec corporation. This enterprise produces automatic combat control systems for various branches of the Russian armed forces, including air defence and artillery, as well as modern communications equipment. The plant is under international sanctions.

In addition, on 2 August, the Central Asia-Centre gas pipeline, which transports natural gas from Turkmenistan via Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to Russia, failed in Russia's Volgograd region. The pipeline is owned by Gazprom.
