Russians hit Chasov Yar, five people killed

On Saturday morning, 31 August, Russia shelled the town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region, which is ten kilometres from Bakhmut. At least five civilians were killed. About another war crime of the occupiers reported in Telegram the head of the OGA (OBA) Vadim Filashkin.

He specified that the shells of the enemy hit a private house and a multi-storey building.

The dead are men from 24 to 38 years old, - specified the head of the Donetsk regional state (military) administration.

At the same time, he urged local residents to leave the city for safer regions of the country.

Chasov Yar is a city in which normal life has been impossible for more than two years. Do not turn yourself into a Russian target! Evacuate! - urged local residents the official.

It should be noted that at present more than 500 people still remain in the town. The overwhelming majority are older people. They are surviving solely thanks to the humanitarian aid that is being brought here despite the high risk and danger.

Russian troops are purposefully shelling residential buildings in the Donetsk region. The occupiers have not abandoned their goal of reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
