Russia is preparing a new strike group near the border with Ukraine

Previously, Russia planned to create 16 volunteer battalions in almost every region. According to the confirmed data of the Main Intelligence Directorate, as of mid-July, only eight divisions were formed, the qualitative composition of which is far from ideal.

These battalions were formed somehow. Anyone was recruited into their composition. Therefore, for the conduct of hostilities, Russia decided to create a third separate army corps. Now it is being formed in the western military district to use it as an association in the war against Ukraine, - said Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

Also, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reports on the poor staffing of combat units. This is evidenced by the fact that to provide lower-level commanders in subunits, the Russians are forced to assign the rank of "junior lieutenant" to sergeants.

According to the information that the military intelligence of Ukraine receives from various sources, including radio intercepts, the shortage of officer personnel is simply catastrophic.
