Russia has concentrated more than 50 BTG in the south of Ukraine - Pentagon

As a high-ranking official of the US Department of Defense said at a briefing , Russian troops are grouped geographically, there are different numbers of BTGs in the eastern, central, western and southern directions.

The largest grouping of troops is the southern one, which is assigned more than 50 BTGs... It is concentrated between Kherson in the west and Mariupol in the east, and in the north - to Bolshaya Novoselka and Zaporozhye, - he noted.

According to a Pentagon official, there are no exact combat figures for each BTG yet.

I can't tell you how complete, what the readiness and losses are in each of the 106 BTGs. We estimate that these are combat BTGs, that is, they are involved in operations against Ukrainians... We know that the Russians continue to suffer losses. They continue to lose equipment and systems in battles on a daily basis. Now there is a dynamic struggle in the Donbass,” he stressed.
