Russian troops were forced to flee to the south under the onslaught of the AFU.

Following the liberation of Kherson by Ukrainian troops, the Russian occupants have chosen Henichesk as the new temporary "capital" of the occupied part of Kherson Region, TASS has reported.

As a so-called "representative" of the occupation "regional administration" said, it is Genichesk where the main authorities are located.

The town of Henichesk is located in the south of the region in the Arabatskaya Strelka area on the Azov Sea coast. It is known as a seaport and resort.

On 11 November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the liberation of Kherson. The right bank of Kherson Region has also been de-occupied.

According to the command, as of 11 November, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had liberated about three thousand square kilometres in the south of Ukraine from the Russian occupants. The search for the scattered Russian military is continuing in some areas.
