Russia tries to recruit Kazakh citizens for war in Ukraine - media

The Russian Federation's war against Ukraine has recently been actively published on social media.
The Russians are actively looking for mercenaries in the territory of Kazakhstan to fight in Ukraine. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan.
The report says that recently in the information space of Kazakhstan the topic of the war in Ukraine has become more frequent. The authors of the publications use pro-Russian rhetoric, insult people on ethnic grounds, provoke, lie and invite citizens of Kazakhstan to participate in the invading war on the territory of Ukraine.
Some users of social networks, in particular citizens of Kazakhstan, publicly comment on the events taking place, post separatist appeals regarding the integrity of the country's territory," the report said.
The prosecutor's office noted that it has facts of attempts to recruit Kazakhs for the war.
The law enforcers stressed that such actions are prohibited by the Constitution of Kazakhstan and internationally recognized legal documents to which Kazakhstan is a party.
Kazakh citizens who go to fight against Ukraine may face punishment of up to ten years in prison," they warned in Kazakhstan.
