Russia tries to prevent Ukraine from getting new energy equipment

This was said by Deputy Energy Minister Yaroslav Demchenkov in an interview with Liga.net.

He believes that Putin wants to use the cold this winter against Ukraine as much as possible.

According to the official, as soon as the enemy becomes aware that Ukraine is seeking help from a European country, the enemy immediately attracts its levers of influence.

Ukraine is now the favourite country in the West, but you can still find pro-Russian politicians there. Every country that for years has received very big money from trade with Russia has their lobby. That is why we have to fight on two fronts: one in Ukraine on the battlefield and the other in Europe, where we defend the Ukrainian position and lobby for sanctions against Russia.

It is worth noting that Russia has been hitting the Ukrainian energy system for two months now. During this time, more than three hundred missiles and drones have attacked energy facilities across the country.
