Five dead, six children injured. House in Dnipro continues to be cleared of rubble

A Russian strike on a residential building in Dnipropetrovsk has claimed the lives of five civilians, the number of casualties has risen sharply, Dnipropetrovsk Interior Ministry's head Valentyn Reznichenko said in a Telegram channel.

Rescuers continue to work at the site and get people out from under the rubble.

According to Reznichenko, at least 27 civilians are currently known to have been injured, including six children. All the victims have been hospitalized. The rescue operation continues.

People are miraculously surviving on the upper floors. They are shining torches to get rescuers to remove them from the upper floors.

For his part, Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov said that as a result of the hit an entire district was completely de-energized and disconnected from life support systems.
