Pro-Russian propagandists detained in Rivne region

According to the SBU , in the course of the investigations carried out at the places of residence of women, mobile phones, computer equipment, and literature containing anti-Ukrainian content, including calls for the recognition of the legitimacy of the Russian war against Ukraine, were seized.

The investigation established that both women denied the fact of the genocide committed by the Russian military in the settlements of the Kiev region (Bucha, Irpin). They called the atrocities of the Russian military a production of the Ukrainian authorities, organized to incite national hatred. Also, one of the suspects denied the massacre of Ukrainian citizens at the railway station in Kramatorsk, blaming the Armed Forces of Ukraine for this.

In addition, these Ukrainian citizens are former employees of one of the critical infrastructure facilities in the region.

The defendants were declared suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acquittal, recognition of lawfulness, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants). The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to three years in prison.
