President tells how many settlements AFU liberated from Russian occupants

The Ukrainian military has liberated about 1,900 settlements from the Russian occupants since the beginning of the war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said while on a working visit to Bulgaria.

We have managed to significantly reduce the scale of this war, first of all thanks to the weapons we receive, and this is a fact. About 1,900 towns and villages of the Ukrainian land are ours since 24 February last year," the head of state said.

He noted that the Ukrainian army has a colossal task - to liberate Ukrainian lands completely from the occupants. At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine's victory is not a distant prospect, but has quite specific deadlines. Zelenskyy stressed that the victory will be "soon".

Ukraine's victory is real and we need it very much," Zelenskyy stressed.

According to the head of state, everything depends on the amount and power of support which Ukrainians use for defence, namely weapons support, sanctions against Russia, as well as finances for Ukrainian stability.

We would like to point out that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met Bulgarian President Rumen Radev during his official visit to Bulgaria. The sides discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula, as well as security in Europe.
