Ukrainian ambassador proposes new routes for 'grain agreement'

Kiev is considering a new route for grain transportation through the territorial waters of Bulgaria and Romania after Russia's withdrawal from the deal
The Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, said this on the air of a national telethon.
According to him, despite the fact that Russia has officially withdrawn from the grain deal, Ukraine proposes that the UN and Turkey, the mediators of this initiative, continue its action in a trilateral format.
After the withdrawal from the "grain deal", Russia withdrew guarantees for the safety of shipping and the occupiers can shell the port infrastructure. According to Bodnar, even if this does not happen, however, the threat remains and it affects shippers, insurance and so on:
We also have opportunities to attract ships and companies. From our point of view, this can be realised even without using this route, which has already been agreed, but through the territorial waters of Romania and Bulgaria. This is also a possible option to minimise risks," Vasyl Bodnar said.
Polos explained that the export of Ukrainian grain was extremely important for ensuring global food security.
Croatia offers its railway network and ports in the Adriatic Sea for transporting Ukrainian foodstuffs. This became known during the UN General Assembly meeting at a ministerial-level open debate on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Croatia is ready to help find new routes for exporting Ukrainian grain. Croatian railways and ports in the Adriatic Sea are one of the possible alternative routes," Croatian Foreign Ministry state secretary Frano Matusic said.
Earlier, Socialportal reported that Russia announced the suspension of the "grain agreement" after the explosion on the Crimean bridge.
