Information has been gathered since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine last February.

The German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) has so far recorded 337 reports of possible war crimes in Ukraine by Russian invaders. This was reported by Deutsche Welle Radio.

It is reported that the recording of probable crimes in Germany has been carried out since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It is provided both by German citizens who were or are in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees who arrived in the country.

It is noted that in addition to gathering information, the BKA supports Ukrainian investigators technically by procuring and providing materials for forensic investigations at the scene of alleged crimes.

For example, in 2022, the BKA purchased equipment - for example, to protect evidence and documentation - worth more than 11.5 million euros and handed it over to Ukrainian authorities.

We would like to add that war crimes of a mass nature with a large number of victims are considered crimes against humanity and are not subject to national military courts, but to international military tribunals.
