At the first stage, 15,000 Ukrainian fighters will be trained.

It is reported by RMF 24 .

Polish Major General Piotr Tritek will command the European Union's mission to train Ukrainian fighters. He previously served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We are talking about the training of personnel, training in the organization of logistics, medical institutions, as well as the preparation of the Ukrainian army in the event of the use of biological, chemical or nuclear weapons.

The operational command will be based in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The second operational headquarters will be in Germany, but only for missions in that country. There will also be a command in Brussels, more of an administrative nature.

The task of training Ukrainian troops was Poland's idea even before the war, but then France and Germany blocked this initiative, arguing that Russia should not be annoyed.

It is noted that at the first stage 15,000 Ukrainian fighters will be trained, the launch of the training mission is scheduled for November. Most of the exercises will take place in Poland - Ukraine insisted on such a decision for logistical reasons.
