Poland wants to participate in the nuclear weapons program with the US
The nuclear sharing program is part of NATO's nuclear deterrence policy.
President Andrzej Duda told the Gazeta Polska newspaper about this,
"The first problem is that we do not have nuclear weapons. There are no signs that we, Poland, will get our hands on them in the near future. There is always the potential to participate in a nuclear sharing program. We have spoken to the American leaders on whether the United States is considering such a possibility. The topic is open," Andrzej Duda said.
The Nuclear Sharing Program is part of NATO's nuclear deterrence policy, which allows member countries that do not have such weapons to participate in planning for their use.
As part of the program, participating countries consult and make joint decisions on nuclear weapons policy
