Plast members handed over the Bethlehem Flame of Peace to the Primate of the PCU

Representatives of Plast handed over the Bethlehem Fire of Peace to Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius on Sunday 24 December before Christmas. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (PCU).

The transfer of the Bethlehem flame took place in the Cathedral of St Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv.

At the end of the Sunday service, representatives of Plast handed over the Bethlehem Flame of Peace to the Primate," the report says.

After reading the Gospel, Metropolitan Epiphanius delivered a sermon and offered a special prayer to the Lord at a time when the Motherland is in danger.

Also during the service there were prayer requests for the soldiers who defend Ukraine, for the authorities and the people, and for the repose of the souls of all fallen defenders of the Motherland and civilians who died during the war.
