Rada proposes to give permission to commanders to shoot deserters

People's deputies propose to allow commanders to shoot the military in case of disobedience, that is, deserters. The authors of the relevant document are members of the Servant of the People party. Among them are Marianna Bezugla, Galina Tretyakova, George Mazurashu and others.
According to Segodnya , commanders still have the right to use weapons against violators of the charter, but the current version of the law contains a clarification - "without leading to the death of a serviceman." They want to remove this line from the new version.
The bill has already passed hearings in the Council Committee. It is advised to take it as a base and in general. But it is proposed to clarify that the commander has the right to destroy deserters on the spot only if there is a real threat to the life of this commander or his other subordinates.
As stated in the explanatory note, the adoption of this law will allow "to stop a criminal offense ... associated with disobedience, resistance or threat to the commander, the use of violence, unauthorized withdrawal from combat positions and certain places of deployment of military units (subdivisions) in areas of combat missions and committed military personnel under martial law.
