Pensioner from Sumy region of the AFU was awarded for the captured tank

Pensioner Alexander Chernomaz managed to start and drive 30 km on the most modern tank left by the enemy. This happened as early as the beginning of March, when the occupiers kept Sum under siege. It is noteworthy that Chernomaz did military service 50 years ago, but he clearly did not lose his skills.

Alexander Chernomaz commented on his feat:

The Russians drove into Samotoevka (a village in the Krasnopolsky district in the southeast of the Sumy region, 28.4 kilometers from the border with the Russian Federation - ed.) at the beginning of the invasion in February, drove out the local residents and occupied their homes, and then began shelling the surrounding cities and villages of tanks, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems.

The pensioner noticed the tank when he was driving his old car to Sumy to sign up for the territorial defense:

The car didn't start. I removed the battery, but then a message came that a column of Russian tanks was moving towards us. We hid in the landing, the column drove past. We had information about 13, but we counted only 12. We sat out the column, and then, when they passed, we set off. Further along the road we saw one of the tanks. Climbed into it - everything is on automatic. Who was once in the tank, will figure it out, started it - the tank started up. So they left.

The model of the tank turned out to be T72B3, one of the newest tanks of the Russian army, released in 2014.
