- Overnight the number of victims of the strike on Kiev rose to 28 people, among them - three children: debris removal continues


Russian forces launched a combined strike on the Ukrainian capital on the night of 31 July.
The main target of the attack was Kiev, where 309 attack drones and eight Iskander-K cruise missiles were sent. At least 28 people were killed as a result of the destruction and the collapse of part of a residential building in the Svyatoshynskyy district.
As reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the head of the Kiev city military administration Timur Tkachenko, in the morning of 1 August, rescuers found the body of another victim under the rubble. Among the victims are three children: a two-year-old and a six-year-old toddler, as well as a 17-year-old young man. The total number of injured reached 159 people, including 16 children.
Work at the scene of the tragedy continues. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 2 thousand tonnes of debris have been removed over the day. 180 rescuers and 60 units of equipment are involved in the elimination of consequences. At the moment, rescue teams have dismantled about 70% of the destroyed structures of the house.
Rescue operations in Svyatoshinsky district continue. The authorities emphasise that the work will be carried out until the full completion of the removal of the rubble and the search for possible survivors.
